Forward planning your Christmas gifting

As we head into October, you may be starting to wonder when to start your Christmas gifting. Shopping for Christmas gifts is by far one of the most stressful times of the year, especially if you leave it until the last minute…which I never intend to but always end up doing!

So, here you’ll discover why forward planning your Christmas gifting is a great idea and the things you can start doing right now to make the festive period easier.

Why forward plan Christmas gifts?

There’s a lot of benefits which come from forward planning Christmas. Not only does it ease the stress nearer the time, but it can also save you a lot of money too. By starting early, you can take your time to find the best presents as well as shop around to find the best prices.

Spreading the cost of Christmas by starting early can also help you to avoid going into debt to fund the holidays. A huge number of people cover the cost of Christmas on their credit cards then struggle to pay it off once January comes around. However, by saving and buying presents each month, this could be avoided.

Take advantage of the sales

Another benefit of starting your Christmas gift shopping early, is that you can take advantage of the sales. Companies such as Amazon, offer significant sales near Christmas, including Black Friday.

This year’s Black Friday sale starts on Friday the 23rd November. You’ll find all kinds of great offers on thousands of products. So, if you want to save money on expensive gifts, start saving now so you can splurge in the Christmas sales.

Stocking up on Christmas wrapping

It’s not just the gifts you’ll want to stock up on. Why not make Christmas really relaxing this year and take care of your wrapping equipment too? That way, as you start to buy all of your gifts, you can wrap them and store them away, saving you another job nearer the time. You can stock up on luxury gift wrapping and tags from companies such as Cox & Cox. I’m useless at gift wrapping so this is always Elsa’s job in our family.

Overall, forward planning your Christmas gifting is a great idea. The earlier you start, the less stressful it will be as the big day draws near. The fact you could also save a lot of money is also a major benefit. So, start setting a little cash aside each month ready for the sales and see just how much you can save on those top gifts.
